About Me

I'm a software engineer who genuinely enjoys solving problems through code. I spend most of my time working with .NET and C# on the backend, but I also love building user interfaces with React and Next.js. There's something satisfying about taking an idea and turning it into something that actually works.

My Journey

My journey into programming started in high school when I joined our local robotics team. Working with two other students on the software side taught me the basics of collaborative coding and showed me how satisfying it is to write code that controls something real in the physical world.

After high school, I continued my technical education with college coursework in programming, math, and logic classes. During this time, I developed foundational skills in C++ and Java, which gave me a solid foundation to build on later. Since then, I've focused on continuous learning through industry experience and personal projects including website development, API development, and exploring AI.

I've been working at The Warren Group since 2021, starting in IT support and gradually moving into more development-focused roles. Now as a Cloud Computing Specialist, I get to work on connecting our internal data systems to cloud platforms and building APIs that our customers actually use.

These days, I'm focused on getting better at API development and keeping up with new technologies. The AI space is moving so fast right now, and I'm excited to see where it goes and how I can incorporate it into the work I do.

Experience

November 2024 - Current

Cloud Computing Specialist

The Warren Group

I build and maintain systems that connect our internal data to cloud platforms using C# and .NET. Most of my time is spent creating APIs that let our customers access the data they need from our Snowflake warehouse. I also demo our products to potential clients and help answer technical questions during sales calls. I've optimized Snowflake API queries by up to 100% through SQL improvements.

June 2022 - November 2024

Technical Assistant

The Warren Group

I built internal software tools and fixed critical bugs in enterprise applications using C# and .NET. A lot of my work involved writing programs to process and move data around using SQL, and integrating with third-party services like Snowflake and AWS. I also wrote specifications and maintained accurate documentation for our systems.

June 2021 - June 2022

IT Technical Assistant

The Warren Group

I handled server maintenance and hardware upgrades, set up new systems both locally and on AWS, and managed our department's IT budget in a responsible, optimized manner. I also provided tech support to both customers and internal staff, and designed and managed a backup system for our FoxPro database.
